WHAT IS A READY TO SHIP ITEM?

RTS items are products that are in stock. They are typically shipped within two business days, unless ordered with a preorder item.

 

WHAT IS A PREORDER?

Preordered items are items purchased through a "group buy".

These items are not currently in stock. They are often sold at significantly reduced prices on the condition that a minimum number of buyers will make the bulk purchase minimum (MOQ). We rarely have many extras on hand after the preorder arrives.

This method of buying guarantees a product to customers that we typically sell out of quickly. However, these items often take 6-8 weeks to arrive at our location from the time the order is submitted to the vendor.
Once Kentucky Sky Boutique receives the shipment in and ensures correct inventory, the items are shipped out immediately (during normal business hours). 

Customers who do not need their product within an immediate deadline are best suited for our preorders.

 

HOW DOES A PREORDER WORK?

Preorders are purchases made before we have them physically on hand. These items are bought in bulk and must reach a minimum order quantity (MOQ) requirement.

With larger quantities sold, we bulk purchase these items for a negotiated, better price. This, in turn, creates guaranteed items to our buyers at maximum savings.

We ask that you DO NOT preorder an item if you are expecting it by a particular deadline or are in any rush to receive it.

 

HOW DO I KNOW IF AN ITEM IS IN STOCK OR A PREORDER?

Preorders will have the word "Preorder" within the title and also within the description.

Additionally, there is usually a checkbox that you must check when ordering a preordered item indicating your agreement to the terms of a standard preorder.

All other items, unless otherwise noted are considered to be in stock and ready to ship. 

 

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

RTS orders, unless ordered with preordered items, typically ship within 2 business days.

This time may increase under certain circumstances:

  • Weekends or holidays 
  • Holidays within countries we import from (e.g. China, CNY runs nearly the entire month of February)
  • Multiple Preorder Arrivals -- This is fairly uncommon and is 100% unplanned, but this does happen on occasion. In this instance, for whichever reason, multiple preordered shipments that were not intended to be received the same day -- are delivered to our location all on the same day.
  • Large Sale Events -- In the event that we run a popular sale (such as Black Friday/Cyber Monday), our increased sales may delay shipment. We are not able to hire additional staff to ship these items as our overhead will often cost more than profit. These are typically instances in which we liquidate products. This only happens a few times/year. We will update you accordingly. 

 

 HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER(S)?

First, we recommend you create a free account in our store.

This will keep a history of all orders placed with us, and update to display the fulfillment status of each order.


When the item ships, you will receive an email with tracking.

This tracking number is also found on the above-described order history page of your account.

Please note that using different email addresses (including those with typos) creates a separate account in our store. We are not able to merge accounts.

HOW WILL I KNOW THE STATUS OF AN ITEM THAT I PREORDER?

Standard preorders will ship 3-4 weeks after the preorder CLOSES. "Closing" means that the particular day in which the last orders are accepted (deadline). This date may be extended or closed sooner at the discretion of Kentucky Sky Boutique, LLC.

Typically these are only extended if we have not met a minimum order quantity. Extending this date allows us to reach out to buyers to help us assist and "fill" the buy-in before we cancel it entirely.

In the rare event that we have not met the minimum order requirement (MOQ), all purchases made toward the preordered item will be canceled and refunded 100% to the original form of payment.

These estimated timeframes do not include the time it takes for the items to be shipped from us to you. That is purely dependent on the shipping courier (typically USPS).

HOW DO I UPDATE MY ADDRESS?

  1. Log into your account here.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page > click on "View Address".
  3. At the top will be the area to click "add new address".
  • Make sure to click the "Make Default" checkbox at the end before adding the address.
  • You may also change your address during the checkout process. This is also where you will change your billing address.

 

HOW DO I CHANGE THE ADDRESS ON AN ORDER THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PLACED BUT HAS NOT YET SHIPPED?

For an existing order:

  • Contact us in our Facebook group here.
OR
You will need to supply the following information:
  1. Order number(s) that are applicable to the outdated address.
  2. The new address you wish to use for the above-mentioned order(s).
You will STILL NEED to update your address in your account for any new orders placed from that point forward.

 

CAN I COMBINE A PREORDER ITEM WITH OTHER PREORDER ITEMS OR RTS ITEMS IN THE SAME ORDER?

Yes. However, this will cause a delay in your shipment. Your order will not be shipped until ALL items are in house and available.
